Recently I was browsing for a book for a lifelong friend and came across this book. As I read through this book I truly felt that it had all the words to express how much I cherish & treasure the friendship I have with him. Excellent Multipurpose Book

This book is an easy read and a great introduction to counting to 100 in different ways. The author relates counting to a real life experience, Hide and Seek, which is a great way to grab the interest of students when they are learning something new. When I am finished reading this book to the students it will be placed on our classroom library shelf . This will give the students an opportunity to reread this book over and over again because the author has written it in a reading level for the students. Even if they may not know some words in the book, they will be able to decode words to aid them or use other strategies to find the meaning of those words. As you can see it is a multipurpose book which is one of the reasons why I purchased it. I would recommend this book.

I'm currently reading this book for a course and I would not recommend using this book. It's an easy read the author explains something well about child development but the cultural asspect is terrible so many Sterotypes , I would hate for an educator who is new to the field to get ahold of this text and take everything he is saying for face value, they would be very Mis informed. I'm on my last chapter and I was happy I was often offended reading this book

The book arrived in a timely manner. I felt the condition of the book was not as good as expected. There were 3 sticky notes left sticking out on the pages and the front cover was tattered and bent back at the top. Otherwise, there were no markings on the book and it was easy to read.

They believed that the diseases of our members purify our souls, and the flesh could put on no adornment more glorious than wounds and ulcers. Thus, they thought they fulfilled the words of the prophet, "The desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose." Amongst the inhabitants of the holy Thebaid, there were some who passed their days in asceticism and contemplation; others gained their livelihood by plaiting palm fibre, or by working at harvest-time for the neighbouring farmers. The Gentiles wrongly suspected some of them of living by brigandage, and allying themselves to the nomadic Arabs who robbed the caravans. But, as a matter of fact, the monks despised riches, and the odour of their sanctity rose to heaven. Angels in the likeness of young men, came, staff in hand, as travellers, to visit the hermitages; whilst demons—having assumed the form of Ethiopians or of animals—wandered round the habitations of the hermits in order to lead them into temptation. When the monks went in the morning to fill their pitcher at the spring, they saw the footprints of Satyrs and Aigipans in the sand. The Thebaid was, really and spiritually, a battlefield, where, at all times, and more especially at night, there were terrible conflicts between heaven and hell.

Religious hypocrisy skewered

This relatively short book by Anatole France, which was later the basis of an opera by Massenet, ridicules religious hypocrisy in particular and religion in general. It is the mythical story, set in the 4th century A.D., of a supposed ascetic who attempts to convert, and then wins over, his country's most renowned courtesan, only to reveal late in the book that he has secretly been lusting for her. A fairly common literary scheme, done here with considerable wit.

I got this illustrated edition from my local library. I suppose that's where you'll have to find it if you don't order this copy from Amazon, because it's out of print.

Practical advice with humility and humor

I really enjoyed this quick and easy read. Although it is full of practical advice on how to raise a large family, Lyette's personality and spunk keep it from coming off as "preachy". It is a good balance of "big picture" parenting- strategies to identify and develop your child's strengths to help them achieve their potential, and tips on how to manage day to day life within a busy household. I am grateful to the Reback family for sharing their story. It is great to see a Christian homeschooling family showing you don't have to be clad in a shapeless prairie dress and not have any fun in life to be a faithful Christian. I hope this is the first of more to come from the Rebacks. This is a fun and encouraging book for any parent looking for advice on how to raise good people in today's world.

It's nice to know she's not super woman, but a normal mom who wants what's best.

Although I'm not a mother, I found this book to be a quick, inspiring and motivating read. Lyette, has an easy way of telling stories to illustrate what it means to raise confident, healthy children with purpose and vision. I have no doubt that the Reback children will grow up to be many great human beings. Not having any children of my own, there are still a great many lessons that can be gathered from Lyette Reback and her family in this book.

Wonderful book!!!

I was so challenged & encouraged by this book. Lyette is so down to earth and full of practical advice. Her writing style is so interesting & easy to follow too. (I didn't want to put the book down!) She shows you how to love your children, challenge them to be the best that they can be, and teach them to have a servant's heart. She shares real life examples from her experiences of raising 15 kids and she has some great stories and wonderful advice. I highly recommend this book!

it was ok but not ok. it was decent writing but not real romance story. yeah the little twink finds his mate, but really just nothing. in my opinion the chemistry was just not there. it seemed more sex than anything, really being taken by the werebear was just that. he was taken and then connected to this bearman that it was stupid. anyway was ok but not a romance
